Thank you for visiting Globetrotter Gem’s blog on travel & adopting a more sustainable lifestyle..
Firstly, I would like to introduce myself and share with you a little insight into who is typing away behind this blog. That would be me, Gemma! A Bachelor of Arts Drama and English Literature graduate, who is currently working as a Creative Copywriter.
If you have visited my Instagram page @globetrottergem, you can probably gather that I have a particular interest in travel writing and blogging about sustainability. Additionally, I am also a dedicated reader and theatre-goer, who values performing and the ability to share a captivating narrative! Moreover, I am an advocate for animal rights and volunteer my time to Naturewatch Foundation and World Animal Day.
Now onto the blog…
This blog will feature stories from myself and others on their journeys. So, why have I created it? The hope for this project is to encourage those with travel insecurities (about travelling solo) to step towards their fears, and set out on their adventures!
Furthermore, it will discuss ways to adopt a more ethical approach to tourism and a sustainable way of living.
It will include content on…
- Ethical Travel
- Homemade Eco-Friendly Products
- Interviews with Solo Travelers
- Keeping Safe Abroad
- Shopping Sustainably
- Supporting Local Businesses
- Sustainable Fashion
- Sustainable Tourism
- Travel Advice
- Travel Writing
I must also state that in regards to adopting a more sustainable lifestyle, everyone lives a different life with different challenges. Meaning, not everyone has the ability to take on these suggestions or has access to more eco-friendly products. And that’s okay! Everything helps, so it is best to do what you can!
